NASAPAL Releases Voters’ Education, urges For Peaceful Elections In Liberia

The National Safety Partnership of Liberia (NASAPAL) founded October 2013 has joined Liberians both at home and abroad to publicly educate eligible voters to register in preparation of the October 10 polls, noting that the best thing to do after registering as a prospective voter is to stay far away from violence.

According to NASAPAL press statement issued today, said if you observe ay things that are not legal that may harm your Vote, cheat you of the right to the candidate you so believe can deliver your interest after election, you are advise to contact Election process officials, if they don’t pay attention to your concern, seek witness or take pictures and file your complain to Law Enforcement

The statement said ‘Vote like a motorcyclist’ or V-LAM is a Voters educational program dedicated to Liberian Motorcyclists to make a huge difference in the political environment of the Republic for the first time, knowing the motorcycle transportation sector having over 250,000 youthful members, resolved to creating the awareness for all people to go out to register to be able to vote on every election day.

Educating the voters, the statement noted that by registering to vote, it empower every eligible voter to have a seat around the table to discuss nation issues relating to crafting laws to shape the political destiny of a group of people with common interest.

NASAPAL Incorporated is a non-political organization that shall never compare any member of its program to Vote for any political party or candidate, but shall borrow from international best practiced culture, and designed awareness activities to educate all motorists as a mean of preparing them for any election

The statement further gave tips what voters should not do during these upcoming elections by trying to be a true and patriotic Liberians during these processes which include:

1. Try to be the first on line to register and to vote.

2. After registering or voting, stay around to protect your votes, to avoid criminal minded individuals from playing games by watching every move.

3. Use your phone camera to capture anything you notice to be of fraud

4. Always keep the Police or Election Commission Hotline numbers to alert them when you notice anything that may make the process questionable.

5. Protect the candidate you so support interest without violence

1. Don’t attach anyone

2. Don’t interfere with Election Officials working

3. Don’t remove any material of any candidate or the Election Commission intended to education the public or disseminates the candidate message to would be Voters.

4. Don’t leave your place of residents to go and register to vote in others community.

5. Don’t stir up any situation you can’t handle that may deprive your candidate win.
