Discovery of a second decomposed body less than two weeks from the first

The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) has launched an investigation into the discovery of yet another decomposed body in the city of Roseau in less than two weeks.

On September 25, 2023, at about 7:40 a.m., the body of an unidentified male individual was discovered in the presbytery of the Roman Catholic Cathedral which is under renovation on Virgin Lane in Roseau.

According to Inspector of Police, Fixton Henderson, at the time of the discovery, the body was in an advanced stage of decomposition.

“The body is being kept at a funeral home pending an autopsy,” he further revealed. “The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force investigates the circumstances surrounding the death of the deceased.”

On September 16, 2023, the body of another unidentified male individual was discovered in a Rav4 vehicle which was parked on High Street, Roseau in the parking area between the traffic department and the Youth Development Division.

Following the grim discovery, the body was examined and pronounced dead at the scene that afternoon by a medical doctor.
