Namibia’s Coetzee makes eight changes for Uruguay clash

Namibia coach Allister Coetzee made eight changes on Monday as he named his team to face Uruguay in their final Rugby World Cup Pool A encounter.

Coetzee plumped for a new half-back pairing, with Damian Stevens and Tiaan Swanepoel coming in for Jacques Theron, who drops to the bench, and Cliven Loubser, who moves from fly-half to full-back for Wednesday’s encounter in Lyon.

Alcino Izaacs comes in at outside centre for suspended captain Johan Deysel, who will sit out the game due to his red card for a head-on-head tackle that broke a bone in France captain Antoine Dupont’s face.

Jason Benade and Torsten Van Jaarsveld come into the front row, Tiaan De Klerk is a new addition at lock and Richard Hardwick and Tjiuee Uanivi, who captains the side, will bring freshness to the back row.

Namibia are still searching for their first ever World Cup victory after losing 25 straight matches.
