The police in the Khomas region have reported the discovery of twin foetuses at the Kupferberg dumpsite in Windhoek on Wednesday.
“A member of the public, who was looking for food at the dumpsite, picked up a plastic bag in which he discovered a wrapped towel with the two lifeless bodies of male twins inside.
“The foetuses are estimated to be of a seven to eight month pregnancy,” the police report states.
A case of concealment of birth is being investigated.
No arrest has been made yet, and the suspect is unknown.
“We are requesting public assistance for any information that may lead to the identification of the suspect,” the report states.
