Binho Boy unleashes eighth album

Talented multi-genre vocalist Sevelinus Malakia (aka Binho Boy) has released his eighth album, titled ‘By Fire by Force’.

Binho Boy started making music in 2015, while he was a Grade 12 pupil at Onesi Secondary School in the Omusati region.

He says the album is one of his accomplishments as a budding singer, which demonstrates musical development and maturity.

Despite his talent, the singer says he is happy to have released eight albums so far, even if he is not well-known, due to a lack of industry support.

He says his latest album has a strong message and was created to inspire and counsel other musicians not to give up their careers under any circumstances, hence the title.

The 15-track album, which spans a variety of musical styles, was produced by Jman Scario and Easy Prince.

The song ‘Letter to Mama’ is his favourite and is a heartfelt dedication to his mother for the career-launching counsel she offered him.

Another song to keep an eye out for is the album title track ‘By Fire by Force’.

According to Binho Boy, the opening track’s chorus, ‘Salaam Aleikum’ is Arabic for “let peace lead” in English.

The singer teamed up with award-winning vocalist, TeQla on the song ‘Kala Ngaa’.

The song is one of the most popular songs on the album and is currently in motion.

Binho Boy, who comes from a village in Otamanzi, is determined to take over the industry.

“Since I was young, I’ve wanted to be an artist. Only financial issues kept getting in the way of me starting my musical career,” says Binho Boy.

He owns Wolla Bashaas Records studio, and he is working on his new album titled ‘December Vibes’.

“I can’t let my fans go into December without something to amuse them during various events,” he says.
