Iza Calzado revealed something about her showbiz career
Kapamilya actress Iza Calzado revealed that she almost left the entertainment industry because of a man.
Iza has proven her caliber in acting with various acting projects over the years. She has shown her versatility by giving justice to whatever role she was given. However, there was a moment when she almost quit showbiz despite her successful acting career.
In a recent interview for the new Shake, Rattle & Roll movie for the Metro Manila Film Festival, based on the article in Bandera, Iza was asked about the “extreme” she did for her personal life, especially her love life.
The actress admitted that she has done a lot of extreme things in her life. “Pagdating sa love, muntik kong iwan ang career na ito dati. Extreme ‘yun,” Iza Calzado said.
Another thing that she can call extreme that she did was when she decided to leave her former home network. Iza has done a lot of projects in the Kapuso network, then, she had a major career move when she transferred to ABS-CBN.
The Kapamilya actress also shared that when it comes to her personal life, she has done a lot of extreme things that are inappropriate for her to say publicly. “Just leave it at that for the imagination,” she jokingly said.
Meanwhile, Iza Calzado expressed happiness that she is part of the new iconic movie series and they are excited for it to become part of the official entries in the MMFF 2023.
The celebrity also said that she is happy to finally be back to acting. She had to take a break for a while when she got pregnant with her first child with her husband Ben Wintle. Previously, she shared the struggles she had as a mom. Aside from her showbiz break, Iza also had her social media hiatus early this year.
