Austria requires a travel visa for entry. There are general and specific requirements for Austria Visa application based on the purpose of study. Here are the general documents needed regardless of your intent to visit the country:
- duly-completed and signed Austria Visa Application Form
- two (2) identical photos
- in passport format (35x45mm size)
- must show whole face
- in light background
- in color
- neutral facial expression
- valid passport
- at least three (3) months beyond the planned date of departure from Austria
- not older than 10 years
- must contain at least two (2) blank pages
- copies of previous Schengen Visa, if applicable
- cover letter that states the purpose of visit and the detailed travel itinerary
- round-trip flight ticket
- proof of accommodation
- proof of civil status
- proof of sufficient financial means

If you are traveling with a minor, there are several other requiremenst for Austria Visa application that you must prepare and submit in applying. Here are these documents that you must be complied:
- Birth Certificate
- Austrian Visa Application Form signed by both parents
- Family Court Order if only one (1) parent has full custody
- certified copies of ID/passport of both parents
- notarized parental authorization to travel signed by both parents/guardians if the minor will be traveling to Austria alone
