John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo are among the most successful onscreen partners in showbiz
Actor John Lloyd Cruz elaborated on the “relationship” between him and actress Bea Alonzo as they were considered one of the best loveteams in the Philippine entertainment industry.
John Lloyd and Bea gave lives to the characters of Popoy and Basha, leaving a huge mark in the history of movies and loveteams. Over the course of their acting careers, they already did several TV and movie projects. Previously, the actress admitted that JLC is her favorite leading man.
With their good chemistry onscreen, it is inevitable that fans would assume that they became a couple at one point of their loveteam partnership.
However, both Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz clarified that they did not reach the point of sharing romance with each other.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, JLC was asked about the bond he and Bea had and continued to share with each other over the years of their friendship. he was asked if there was a time when he thought that he wanted to be Bea’s boyfriend.
The actor admitted that he felt awkward with that idea alone. He also stressed that this did not come into his mind at all.
“Pero as people, ‘yung kaming dalawa ni Bea, bilang part ng build namin…isa ‘yun sa mga pinaka-fascinated din ako, doon sa kung paano namin siya hinandle nang hindi namin pinag-uusapan. Never naming pinag-usapan ‘yun eh,” he explained.
The actor wanted to stop in that statement and shifted to saying that there has always been a nostalgic feeling every time he and Bea meet, especially when it is unexpected. He said that this feeling exists and it can’t be denied.
“Hindi siguro mawawala ‘yung ganu’ng pakiramdam. And ‘yung lagi mong hangad na sana okay siya, ‘yung pamilya niya, especially ang nanay niya,” John Lloyd Cruz said about the friendship that he has with Bea Alonzo.
The actor also expressed happiness for the actress now that she is engaged to Dominic Roque.
