The airline apologized to Vice Ganda and the comedian has this response.
Vice Ganda called out Philippine Airlines (PAL) in a series of angry tweets and has this reply to the apology of the airline.
“Grabeng pangaabala at perwisyo ang dinulot mo sa masaya sanang trip na ito!!!” Kapamilya superstar Vice Ganda began. He is addressing the rant to an airline that was going to fly them home but met hassles and conflicts amid their travel home due to a delayed and allegedly overbooked flight.
Clearly, distressed, he described PAL’s service as “napakapanget”.
In another tweet, he aired how stressful the experience is, not just for them but for all the passengers who paid for their flight. PAL quickly responded to the posts and expressed apology – “genuinely sorry for the trouble this has caused”.
The comedian was assured by the airline that they were looking into what happened and investigating the issue with the Bangkok office. In another post, PAL expressed that they deeply regretted what happened and offered an explanation. Vice’s PAL issue became a viral topic online because many have suffered from the same bad experience.
According to them, the flight was not overbooked as during the pre-flight safety check, “two business class seats were identified as unserviceable due to safety concerns”. The seats were rendered unfit which made them offer some passengers a seat downgrade to economy class for the sake of safety.

However, this statement seemed to exacerbate Vice’s anger. The comedian reposted the statement and said:
“Hindi yan ang sinabi sakin sa counter! Ang sabi ng staff “THE FLIGHT WAS OVERBOOKED AND MY SEAT WAS GIVEN TO ANOTHER PASSENGER”. MAG BATO BATO PICK NA LANG KAYO NG STAFF SA COUNTER KUNG SINO SA INYO ANG PAL-PAK! YUNG PANALO LIBRE KO NG ROUND TRIP TICKET VIA CATHAY PACIFIC!”
The It’s Showtime host stressed how stressful the airline’s system. He even questioned their commitment to true service. In one of his posts, he shared that he cried and rushed to when she nearly missed her flight, with his partner Ion Perez who was waiting for her at the aircraft’s door worried sick that he might be left behind.
